The Perl survey currently has nearly a thousand respondents, yay!

Skud's keen to spread the net as widely as she can, so she's looking for people to translate the publicity blurb into as many languages as possible. I know there are loads of you here fluent in more than one language — can you help? Done so far: Portuguese (both Brazilian Portuguese and Portuguese Portuguese), German, Swedish.

The mailshot/blurb:

Take part in the 2007 Perl Survey!

The Perl Survey is an attempt to capture a picture of the Perl community
in all its diversity. No matter what sort of Perl programmer you are,
we'd love to hear from you.

The survey can be found at: http://perlsurvey.org

It only takes about 5 minutes to complete.

The survey will be open until September 30th, 2007. After that, we'll be
reporting on the results and making the data freely available.

Please feel free to forward this email to any other Perl programmers
you know.

Thanks for your help!

Yours,

Kirrily "Skud" Robert

She'll want the questions themselves translated at some point; I'll post them here once she's sent them to me.

If you can translate that, and either put the translation into a comment here, or mail it to Skud at info@perlsurvey.org, I will be very very grateful. (Best to explicitly state which language you've translated it into, by the way, or there might be confusion...)

pt_pt. i've noticed that my portuguese isn't as good as it was while doing this. if you're a pt_pt native speaker please have a look at it and correct me where appropriate (especially in the "capture the picture bit").

looking at lmc's, please replace "capturar o aspecto da" with "retratar a". also, where you have "aéé" it's "até".

cheers,

pedro

Kirrily "Skud" Robert

Re: Swedish

I'm afraid you've got two mistakes on your site:

Perl Servey är ett försök att skapa en bild av Perl gemenskapen i all dess mångfald. Det spelar ingen roll vad öör slags Perl programmerare du är, vi vill höra ifrån dig i vilket fall!

Should be

Re: Swedish

I seem to have made a stupid mistake in my original translation though, as pointed out below. "Perl Servey" should really be Perl Survey as it is supposed to be the English word.

Sorry :/

Re: Swedish

Shouldn't "Perl Servey" be "Perl Survey" instead?

Re: Swedish

Very true. I must have been so busy checking the Swedish word that I missed the mistake among the few words that are the same in both languages :/
