Following on from my previous request for translations, the Perl Survey questions are now available for translation. If any of you can help translate around 400 words from English into another language (any language at all — part of the work has already been done for Swedish, German, and Portuguese), then please take a look at this link.

Let me know if any of the instructions there are unclear! Also, if you'd like me to email the text to you, or paste it here, that's no problem. Similarly, if you'd rather respond here than by email to info@perlsurvey.org then that's fine too.

I've translated into Dutch and mailed it to them. So if anyone else wanted to do Dutch, you can probably save yourself the effort ;)

Excellent, thank you very much! (And have you filled it in yourself, or do you not speak Perl?)

I don't speak Perl; I'm not much of a programmer at all. And currently my desire to learn languages is heavily biased towards 'what I'm likely to end up teaching to high school students', which (with the available material) puts PHP, C/C++ and even Visual Basic way ahead of Perl. Still might do it one day though...

FWIW I don't think my French is good enough, but if in a couple of weeks there are no better offers I'm willing to give it a go.

Noted, thanks! Also, have you filled it in yourself? I seem to remember you speak some Perl, don't you? It's not just for people who use Perl all the time.

I have filled it in yes. Still speak a fair bit of perl at work, though not very well, and I felt a bit bad for not being able to tick *any* or the community stuff!

hm, I could probably do the publicity email in chinese, but I had a look at the survey questions and I haven't the faintest idea how to translate things like mailing list or open source. there are probably proper chinese nouns for them rather than the halfbaked literal translations I'm thinking of at the moment.

The publicity email is a good start in any case! Please do!

I've sent her an email with a German translation of the kit.
