Your answers to the question as to why people don't contribute to it suggest that you've assumed there's been some problem with the user-friendliness of the guide itself without taking into account people's estimations of their own expertise on the subject matter (i.e. London).

The site could be the most user-friendly one in existance but that won't put knowledge into people's heads!

I usually don't contribute because of exactly this - I'm not really qualified to do stuff off the top of my head, and the effort to produce a decent entry with a bit of research is usually over my laziness threshold.

I have no content, but mstevens - love the userpic. Only played Super Monkey Ball once, but it was great :)

To expand on the "No time!" answer to why I don't contribute.

I know it should only take fifteen minutes or so to write and submit an entry to OpenGuides. But somehow my todo list is filling up with dozen of things that should only take fifteen minutes and just aren't getting done at the moment.
