Recap: You know bring and buy sales? Where you bring stuff you don’t want, and you buy stuff that other people don’t want, and the money goes to some good cause or other? Well, this is a bit like that, except without the money. Bring books you don’t want any more, and take away books that other people don’t want any more but you do.

Edited to add: Monday 15 Tuesday 16 January is no good, really, since I will be wanting to be in a pub celebrating Juliet's birthday.

I would like to come, and the following dates will suit me:

Would love to come, if only to see you, but not sure I'd be able to; 2nd Jan is about the latest I could do, depending on when I go back to Scot Land.

Have edited the post; I only had the date you'd told us to save for the actual party in my schedule :)

(reminded about this by link today): discovered last week that this is going to be the 16th instead as they finally gave us the exam timetable & I have my one bloody exam this semester on the 16th & suspect that going to the pub the night before will not assist my chances. Sorry for change!

If you want to add in the money for a good cause, you could potentially sell the books nobody is particularly interested in to a used book shop.

Or give them to a charity shop... but I think it's going to be easier to Freecycle them!

If it makes you Miss Nofriends then it makes me Miss Nofriends too, since I can also make them all :)

If you want to bring some books over a few days in advance that would be cool too. I have two boxes left from the last one so anything dodgy can quite happily hide in amongst the dodgy ones there!

Do you think you're going to be able to come along? It's tomorrow evening.

Yikes, I have no idea what I'm doing that far in the future, but I suspect all those dates are roughly equal in terms of being free and/or being able to get to London... so I will come if I can!

I'd very much like to if at all possible, but I'm also very tired & in urgent need of some early nights... OTOH, early nights are generally less fun, and I'm sure fun is more important than sleep.

Is it going to be a problem if I am still an unknown quantity until I turn up (or at least until I get on the bus/train)? If so, I think it's probably safest to assume "no". If it's okay to turn up slightly-unannounced, then I will still try to find the energy to come.

Er, short answer: "maybe". :-)

Also, addedentry would like to come too (not sure if he has already mailed/commented) -- is that okay? (You didn't say anything about partners, only new people, and you've already met him, so he doesn't count as new!)

It's OK to turn up completely unannounced!

addedentry is most welcome and in fact invited in his own right, since he's on my friends list.

My answers are all with the proviso that I don't know about work yet, due to the illness!
